In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Selyn launched the #BleedGood initiative through the Selyn Foundation, responding to an urgent need: over 30% of women in its communities couldn’t afford menstrual products. As a crisis-time act of care, the team began producing and distributing reusable pads — reaching 4,400+ women, engaging 550+ participants, and hosting 11 community workshops.
What began as an emergency response has grown into Femme-Care Pvt Ltd — a scalable, impact-driven social enterprise committed to sustainable menstrual health.
Backed by Selyn’s values of dignity, sustainability, and equity, FemmeCare now leads innovation in reusable period care, offering ethical alternatives that continue to provide jobs for rural women, protect the planet and empower women with every cycle.
