FemmeCare was founded by Selyn, Sri Lanka’s largest Fair Trade social enterprise in response to a national crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic. It began as part of the #BleedGood movement, a Selyn Foundation initiative addressing the urgent lack of access to menstrual products. What started as a relief response has since grown into a scalable, sustainable enterprise rooted in innovation, dignity, and long-term impact.

Our Response

FemmeCare reusable sanitary pads offer comfort, performance, and dignity — at half the cost of disposables over two years. They’re safe, reusable, and backed by performance testing aligned with Sri Lanka Standards Institute and  UNFPA/UNICEF/UNHCR technical specifications.

Ethically manufactured under Fair Trade standards, our products are tested to meet national (SLSI) and global (UNFPA, UNICEF, UNHCR) safety guidelines. Each item is built to last, reduce waste, and restore dignity empowering women and girls while protecting the planet.
